Dave Lakatos - Photographer

My photographic interests are primarily in expressive photos of people and places. I have been a photographer for just about 20 years, having started with college level photography courses in 1991. I've been a working professional photographer for over 12 years. And I've had my full time photography Studio since 2004.

I started and grew as a "street photographer" in the mid-1990's. I've now continued to shoot with this style up until today. This means that I've been shooting "candids", in an editorial or documentary style, for many years. This is my style.

This long street shooting experience now helps me shoot all of my current photography areas, weddings, commercial, bands/models and even family portraits, in a "capture the story" way. I pull the feeling and meaning from the photography scene/subject and I give it to you in a picture. This style, really this skill, is well established and finely tuned.

I concentrate on anticipating the revealing moment for a photo situation, no matter the type. I then capture this important moment, in it's raw and candid form, as a successful image. I can see....and then skillfully capture....the essence of a photo situation in a way that meets your needs for that image.....no matter what it's type may be. Every photo has a need.......your need.....and I meet that need with a successful image.
